FASTMath Code of Conduct
The FASTMath Institute is committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and productive project environment. We expect all FASTMath members to follow the guidelines below when interacting with others both inside and outside of our project. This code of conduct applies to all project situations, online and offline, including, but not limited to, mailing lists, forums, social media, conferences, meetings, associated social events, and one-to-one interactions.
As members of the project,
We will treat all people with respect and provide a harassment- and bullying-free environment, regardless of sex, sexual orientation and/or gender identity, disability, physical appearance, age, body size, race, nationality, ethnicity, religion, or role within the FASTMath project. Some examples that contribute to a hostile environment include sexual and/or violent language and imagery, and sexist, racist, and otherwise exclusionary jokes.
We realize that including people with a variety of opinions and backgrounds enriches our community. In particular, discussions relating to the pros and cons of various technologies, programming languages, and so on are welcome, but these should be done with respect and proactive measures should be taken to ensure that all participants are heard and feel confident that they can freely express their opinions.
We will respect the work of others by recognizing acknowledgment/citation requests of the original authors and respecting intellectual property.
We welcome questions and constructive feedback from other members of FASTMath and from those outside the FASTMath Institute. We will respond respectfully in all forums and will model behaviors that encourage productive debate and disagreement.
We will help our community follow the code of conduct and we will respond appropriately when we see violations of the code of conduct. We will provide mechanisms for reporting violations and take commensurate actions when members of our project violate this code. These actions may range from talking privately with the person up to restricting their project activities and reporting violations to their institution for further action.
